STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT TESTING
Every March our students participate in a day of performance, theory, aural skills, technique, and sight-reading -- sponsored by the Michigan Music Teachers Association. Many students look forward to this day all year!
Over 200 local students in levels 1A through 10 play three memorized pieces for a judge. The two highest scoring students from each level are invited to perform in an honors recital in April.
Qualifying students go on to participate in the MMTA semi-finals.
Piano Clubs are student recitals that are held three Fridays during the school year, in the at 1st Reformed Church in Holland, at 3:45PM and 4:45PM. Any piano student may participate, and each student is guaranteed one performance opportunity each year; more opportunities are available if time permits.
Cost is $10 per student of a member teacher; $12 per student of a non-member teacher. Students of non-member teachers should contact Lora Kolean for more details.
